I HUMBLE MYSELF BEFORE THE SACRED COW OF PUBLIC OPINION (to borrow a line)
Alright, I know...shame on me for not having posted; there really hasn't been too much heppening worth posting about.
Dennis' prom was on June 11th and it was considerably better than mine could have ever dreamed of being. When the dance itself was over, we and a bunch of people that Dennis knew, although not too closely, went to New York City to a smoking bar (those of us who liked our lungs opted to trek a few blocks to the nearest of New York's 82 McDonalds instead) and then came home to New Jersey and spent the night at one of their houses. Everyone slept in the same room together and yet some people still insisted on having sex. If people want to have sex, its their lives, but honestly, do I have to watch? Needless to say, I went to another room and slept (in quiet) alone. The next morning we went down to Sea Side Heights, this not-to-impressive boardwalk along the freezing cold waters that border New Jersey. I didn't know the people we were with and Dennis didn't really know the people we were with so the trip itself wasn't fantastic. I did, however, really enjoy spending some time with Dennis away from everything here.
Let's see, what else can I tell ya'll about? I had a graduation party this past Saturday. It was fun. A couple of my really good friends and almost every member of my extended family came and we still had left over food. I wish I could say I was happy, proud (not that kind of pride Dennis) or feeling any type of accomplishment for graduating, but I don't. High school wasn't hard for me, at least not academically. Fortunately, I was given enough money to get my laptop for school in the fall...
...Speaking of which, I am currently typing this entry on a computer in the American University Cyber Cafe. I'm in Washington for freshman orientation (who the hell schedules a freshman orientation in June?) for a few days.
Well that's about it. This entry was not one of my better ones, but I'm sure my two very loyal readers won't mind too much. I promise to follow this entry with a joke next time. Bye bye.
